No Depression will be ready for “spooky season” with the Fall 2021 issue! Called “Ghosts,” this edition’s stories will highlight roots music folklore, legendary figures, forgotten histories, and contemporary musicians keeping these ethereal traditions alive. Of course, this genre of music has its share of ghosts — from characters in old standards to the many injustices that stymie equality in the music industry — and this issue doesn't shy away from them either.
