In the summer issue, No Depression digs into topics of immigration and migration in roots music. Stories delve into the ways songs spread across borders and get to know the songwriters who undertake those journeys. The issue will also highlight means of transportation — planes, trains, and automobiles— as well as the ways by which such songs/information spread across rivers, roads, and trails. Additionally, in these times of high political tensions, the (im)migration edition feels especially relevant.
